A Special Tail-Wagging Thanks to: Cypress Veterinary Clinic, a “Great Dane” Level Sponsor for the Pups in the Park Fundraiser on May 20th at New Garden Township Park
Hello, dear furry friends and pet parents!
We have some fantastic news to share with you! We are delighted to announce that Cypress Veterinary Clinic, a true gem in the world of animal care, is a “Great Dane” level sponsor for our upcoming fundraiser event, Pups in the Park!
Pups in the Park is a paw-some day filled with fun activities for you and your fur babies, all in support of a great cause. You can find all the event details at https://amazingtails.org/pups-in-the-park/.
Cypress Veterinary Clinic (https://cypressveterinaryclinic.com/) is a full-service animal hospital dedicated to providing the highest quality care to our beloved pets. Their compassionate and knowledgeable team offers a wide range of services, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, and surgery. Their state-of-the-art facility ensures your pets receive the best care possible.
We had an opportunity to ask Cypress some questions about their practice, this is what they said:
Can you tell us a bit about the history of your veterinary clinic and the core values that drive your practice?
“The practice was started by Dr. Laura Johnson in May 2022. The vision was to provide an all inclusive general small animal practice that celebrates the love we all have for animals and the joy them bring us. We value the human animal bond and treat pets as a family member when it comes to their health care. We strive to provide diagnostic and surgical procedures that can be done at our hospital instead of having to refer to a specialty center”
What sets your clinic apart from others, and what do you believe makes your practice unique in providing exceptional care for pets?
“What sets us apart is our ability to do ultrasounds and specialty surgeries at our facility. The staff is experienced and Dr. Johnson is well versed in general wellness care and emergency medicine.”
As a veterinary clinic, what are some of the most common issues you encounter with pets, and what advice do you have for pet owners to ensure their furry friends stay happy and healthy?
“The most common conditions we see in pets are dental disease and skin and ear problems. We recommend PROACTIVE health care: yearly exams, yearly blood work, preventative for tick borne illness. Have a happy and consistent relationship with your veterinary team. When doing that we are familiar with you and your pet!”
Your clinic has been recognized for its outstanding community involvement. Can you share some examples of how you give back to the community and how you plan to continue making a positive impact in the future?
“We love our community, surrounding towns and Kennett Square. Dr. Johnson grew up here and only wants to see the area succeed. We are havily involved in rescue groups and provide discounts and help them fund raise by attending events and providing space in the hospital for “Secret Santa,” Etc. We helped plan the Bark and Brews with Victory Brewing in Kennett last weekend. We also will be a sponsor of SummerFest which benefits Kennett Collaborative.”
In light of the ever-evolving field of veterinary medicine, how does your clinic stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and best practices in pet care?
“Constant learning and Continuing education. As we grow we hope to offer more diagnostics, for example acupuncture, chiropractics, laser, PT, cardiology.”
Can you share a heartwarming or inspiring story from your clinic that truly exemplifies the amazing work your team does in caring for pets and supporting their owners?
“We had a 11 month old puppy come to us in kidney failure after eating Advil. We worked with the client to allow treatment with out having to hospitalize at a 24 hour emergency hospital. He did well and is home with his owner!”
What are you looking forward to most about the Pups in the Park Fundraiser?
“Helping a great organization provide for humans and their pets. And of course seeing all the CUTE dogs!”
